Fertilization and Pest Control

Professional lawn fertilization and pest control (weeds and insects), based on your individual soil test results and lawn condition, using top grade products and equipment.

Stand-on spreader/sprayer

We provide full array of professional fertilization and lawn weed and insect control services including:

Fertilization:

Fertilization plans are dependent on soil tests, which we perform twice per year on clients' lawns. We find majority of sodded lawns in Georgetown, Leander, and Liberty Hill areas to be shallow alkaline clays underlined by limestone, generally lacking all macronutrients (nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium) and organic matter, and being slightly but not detrimentally alkaline.

Our fertilization and soil amendments recommendations are based on your individual lawn conditions, and we only use professional grade products to ensure best results for your lawn.
We provide free soil sample analysis with estimate (for lawns over 10K sqft).

Pest control (weeds and insects):

We are a licensed Agricultural Pesticide Commercial Business and we will create a plan that minimizes pests on your lawn while also minimizing the use of chemicals. We however do not use “green” alternatives to pesticides as they are either ineffective (i.e. vinegar-based weed control) or are unsuitable for residential lawns (i.e. introduction of insects, bacteria, virus, nematodes, or fungi to control the pest population).

The most effective way to control weeds is a strong and healthy lawn, with proper watering schedule, which will choke out the majority of weeds. Next step is application of early spring and late fall pre-emergent, which will take care of the majority of warm-weather and cold-weather weeds that are not yet established. The last step is spot-treating of weeds that do manage to get established with selective herbicides.

Insects that are a major concern for our southern lawns are army worms (which eat blades of the grass) and grubs (which eat roots and can kill the plant). We generally recommend early fall and spring application of insecticide, although a single early fall application is sometimes sufficient.

Fertilization and pest control can differ widely from lawn to lawn, so please contact us for a free estimate.
